Wait for Saab in 2013
Posted on Friday, November 23, 2012
Swedish car company can come back to the world market in six months.
According to U.S. media, Saab plans to revive the production of the sedan 9.3 next summer. True, most of all, the model will be produced with a gasoline engine, an electric version, which was announced earlier, will appear later. Now Saab is part of the consortium of National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS), engaged in the development of electric vehicles, which in turn belongs to the Chinese energy corporation National Modern Energy Holdings. Former shareholders of Swedish automaker allowed to keep the name, but they were forbidden to use the company logo with a griffin.
Saab was declared bankrupt in December last year. His debts amounted to two billion dollars. Several months ago, the Chinese company Youngman tried to acquire the assets of the bankrupt automaker, but the deal on the final stage was blocked by the previous owner - General Motors.
